If this does not shock you, you might be suffering from lack of animal empathy.

As many as 29 animals were seized from a property in Slocan Valley in British Columbia, Canada. The man in charge of the property as well as the animals has already been charged thrice before for animal cruelty.

BC SPCA (THE BRITISH COLUMBIA SOCIETY FOR THE PREVENTION OF CRUELTY TO ANIMALS) posted this on their official Twitter handle:

and this:

According to the claim made by SPCA , the twenty nine animals include nine sheep, seven goats, four horses, five large-breed dogs, two puppies, a cow and a rooster. Several of the animals were discovered in “various states of distress.” This includes parasites, heart problems, overgrown nails, infections, abscesses, eye infections as well as dental issues, according to the organization.

What was more shocking was the recovery of corpses of horses, a goat and a bull. The name of the accused is Joao Vieiria. The property is located in Winlaw, north of Castlegar. Viera has previously been charged with allegedly having violated a standing ban on owning animals.

SPCA

The SPCA proved to be the savior for the distressed animals. It is a non-profit organization that saves animals from cruelty, and serves them in various ways, from taking care of lost and disowned animals, to their treatment and handing them over to good, accountable owners for adoption. In this case, SPCA is asking for donations to procure high-quality hay for the livestock.
